Photojournalism in Sri Lanka

Traveling the world has taught me more than I ever imagined about human connection. It’s the kind of experience that makes it easy to leave pieces of your heart behind, scattered across the globe.

Through my adventures abroad, I’ve fallen deeply in love with people — all people — and the stories that shape them. I’ve also learned the delicate balance of documenting a story as it unfolds candidly, while remaining respectful of others and their space. When photographing someone, I’ve found that simply asking permission often opens the door to meaningful conversation, and still allows room for natural, unguarded moments. Those are the memories I treasure most.

In Sri Lanka, I felt instantly at home, welcomed by the warmth of its people. These interactions, and the individuals within them, will always hold a special place in my heart. This is a glimpse into my early attempts at photojournalism, and the moments that sparked a lifelong desire to keep exploring, learning, and connecting with people from all walks of life.
